something I wrote a while ago and Suerte's rant made me remember. Albeit not what she's ranting about, but I felt like ranting too 
As we're gathered 'round the campfire
Stomaches Growling with all of natures bounty
We cast our eyes up; daring higher
As we're far from luminated county
For this bought time in the well mapped wild
Surrounded by Boldly uniform trees
When we flip a switch and the fire is filed;
Spare a dollar and No bugs tonight if you please.
We came out seeking pre-screened companionship
We came together for Wildly safe fun,
With paramedics on hand if any should slip
And a car in twenty feet for when we are done.
We came for adventure, and found child-safe locks
On all the pine cones that are littered afore.
With every thing numbered, right down to the rocks
We had to reserve years before!
Give to me harsh and far too cold air!
Show me the sunset ablaze!
Give me Stars and a mountain to dare
When they're brilliant without city haze!
Show me the paths of the wolf pack,
For they're more trustworthy than men.
Take me to the lakes and doe track,
And I'll be on my way to be happy again.
I yearn for things beyond this structure
Away from my too modern life,
I'm greeted each day with insult and conjecture
Where there's even time set for my strife.
I'm far more lonely amid everyone here;
One mind among billions, below notice or sigh
No wish of conforming, no pity nor fear.
I'm trapped in the madness, looking for truth in a lie!
I wasn't meant to be where I am
I tell you there has been a mistake!
I'm trapped and I'm lonely; I don't fit the plan
There are plenty of others that would fit the make!
I must go on searching, and traveling far
I'm leaving the forest of the plain preconceived
There must be a soul mate, that dares what we are;
A heart that would journey together; relieved!
