I was bored, and this poem just kinda flashed into my head.
[shadow=green,left,300]COBBLESTONE[/shadow]
They told me it was grand,
This dream of mine,
But it was utterly blan,
Looking back in time.
See, I dreamt of night
Of stars and music.
It was the only thing that seemed to be right
And the only thing, in life, that was worth it.
The night, a stage
The stars, were spot lights
The music, was in my range
Everything felt just right.
TV crews were there to film
The audiance was was too a fill
A packed house to add to my dreamy relm.
The starting music gave my heart a thrill
As the curtains opened, the crowd began to yell.
The spot lights, bright and glimmering,
Made my eyes squint
My hands on the mic, sweaty and trembling.
My mind wanted me to quit
But my heart would not allow it.
I began to sing
The melody to my song
The tender song, perfect, to my voice's ting
I felt like nothing would ever go wrong!
However, that is no longer true
My career and my dreams gone
All because of YOU!
You cheater, you did me wrong!
If you hadn't
But you did!
You know you shouldn't,
However this I do bid.
I loved you, everything about you
You told me so many lies!
"How could I live without you?!" You're a total shrew!
The thought of you made water fall from my eyes!
This is when I thought
"It's time for me to do what's right
To show you who's boss
For me to make you filled with fright!"
You walked in
Drunk and sloppy
I sat in the Den
On the edge and ready.
Your face so red and hot
Gave me more inspiration
To fire that shot!
I pulled the trigger and you spun
Falling to the ground calling to anyone.
It's a shame it had to end.
This thing that we called love.
You slept with my friend
And awoke in his tub.
I knew this already
But you still confessed
I did give a care, Betty,
For your chest began to feel compressed.
You stopped with your respiration
Your face blank and pale
I had your grave ready in my preparation
Now I just needed to grasp a rail.
I realize what I'd done to you
Your were dead by my hand,
Not just you, but my dream to!
I guess I'll never hear my opening band.
A wheelbarrel was the perfect transportation
For you, a complete lowlife
I threw you into the whole with some resentment
Filled the grave with no strife.
I marked you grave with cobblestone
Dear, you deserve much less,
But my feelings for you know somewhat shown
As I realized you wore that dress.
The one I'd given to you for our anniversary no less.
The cops had shown
The neighbors ratted me out
I began throwing stones
In an attempt to beat the crowd.
I failed though,
And so my dream died.
With you in the ground
And my hopes fell as I cried
.This dream of mine,
But it was utterly blan,
Looking back in time.
