{My Ode to Steve Vai}Before the sun came out I never wanted to open my eyes Before the sun came out You could tell it was my first time I was a virgin to his unique phrasing That if were a painting Would be fused with colours All brillant and dull Cool and warm Hell, if it was just shades of black --It'd still be captivating-- That the notes of my guitar Had no place to hide. I leaned into the speakers I had never been so intrigued For an hour I was the detective Of his melodic mystery. For hours I was lost in The Boston Rain Melody
